Yolanda R. Williams-Davis, MBA, is a consultant with Comprehensive Management Growth Group LLC, with broad knowledge and skills in recruitment and selection, affirmative action, employee relations, policy development, training and career development, organization assessment and change management, retention and turnover and career transition assistance. Her human resources management experience has been with companies in the service and manufacturing industries, working in insurance, healthcare and engineering, automotive manufacturing and supplying.
Client projects have included: performance management assessment tools for environmental and medical practice organizations; the design and implementation of a structured interview and selection process for a medical practice organization; the development of employee relations assessments, including surveys, interviews and subsequent implementation plans for clients in engineering and healthcare; the audit and assessment of a human resources function as part of an overall development and reengineering program; the development of a recruiting and selection system, including management training, for a medical practice organization; and the management and delivery of group outplacement programs.
Client projects also include preparation of affirmative action plans and assisting clients in preparing for OFCCP compliance audits. Other client work includes the design and implementation of an employee handbook and the investigation of a sexual harassment claim. Ms. Williams-Davis also provides consulting to clients on various employee relations and compliance issues.
Ms. Williams-Davis has spoken before professional groups on various human resources issues such as: Human Resources Design and Strategic Staffing and Creating an Employee Centered Organization (Non-profit organization). Ms. Williams-Davis has also designed and facilitated training for the following subjects: Understanding material data safety sheets and use of personal protective equipment in the workplace and Introducing ISO 9000 (MSI Prototype & Engineering), Understanding human resources policies, and practices for managers and supervisors (Henry Ford Health System), and Putting to use the benefits of your 401(k) program (Amerisure Insurance Companies).
Additionally, Ms. Williams-Davis has received formal training and certification to facilitate cultural diversity, quality, work-processes, and employee relations workshops for the following: Quality Customer Service Skills (Henry Ford Health System, 18 months), E-Squared and Vehicle Information System Overview (General Motors University, 12 months), and Pumping the Colors ® Team Development Simulation Training Program. During the 4 years at MSI Prototype and Engineering, Ms. Williams-Davis facilitated the new hire orientations and introduction to ISO 9000 sessions, which included a diversity component, entitled “Faces of our internal and external customers”.
Ms. Williams-Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Detroit Mercy in Business Administration, concentrating in Human Resources Management. Ms. Williams-Davis is upon completion of a Masters Degree in Strategic Management from Davenport University.
Ms. Williams-Davis is a community activist currently involved with designing and delivering the first interfaith job fair in SE Michigan scheduled for late Spring 2003. She is also co-chair of Hope UMC Women’s Ministry Finance Team. Ms. Williams-Davis has been a board officer with Hope Economic and Community Empowerment, Inc. since 1997. Additionally, Ms. Williams-Davis served as Mistress of Ceremony for Mayor Brenda Lawrence Prayer Breakfast events and Hope United Methodist 1st Annual Women Business Symposium and Expo.
